July 2010

A Beercan, Pizza, Veal, Gum Ball, and Peanut Brittle, some great food graff continued to pop up in New York during the heart of the summer. SoHo, the Lower East Side and the East Village were all fruitful as usual. Especially the latter, which heralded a new player on the food graff scene, a sticker (bumper sticker style): Muffin Milk.

But the most notable food graffiti photographed in July was in Williamsburg. A mural titled, ‘Cereal Killers,’ featuring the sugary childhood favorites, just, well, more aggressive than usual. Lucky with a machete, the Trix rabbit with a revolver, and the Cinnamon Toast Crunch chefs wielding a bat, a shotgun and grenades.
