February 2010

Sure there was a lobster crawling toward Cooper Union, and Onion in the East Village, but February’s search for food graffiti was mostly outerborough. Coney Island, Long Island City, Arthur Avenue, Red Hook, Williamsburg, Park Slope, and Carroll Gardens. There was Vegeta by the Gowanus, Rice in Williamsburg, and ‘Lunch Meats’ in the bathroom at Brooklyn Experiment staging ground, The Bell House.

Also included are two pilgrimages, one to the famed Long Island City graffiti hotspot, Five Pointz, the other to a new graff store in the Bronx named, believe it or not, Da Bakery. Flip through to see “The Top of the Food Chain,” and “The Breakfast Club.”
